Zoran Karmelic is a professional painter active in Croatia for many years. He was born in Ljubljana at 1950. but he has been living in Split since he turned 18.

That gives him wide range of picturesque Dalmatian seaside motifs, with its rocky coast and beautiful Adriatic Sea. It could be stated that Zoran Karmelic represents painting that follows liking of general public. Therefore his subjects - seaside motifs - do not change often, but due to his undeniable talent he has achieved real mastership. Speaking of his style we can state that, when painting nature, he is within realistic approach leaning on postimpressionistic way of painting.

Zoran Karmelic, engineer by profession, has been engaged in creative work intesively since 1970. He is member of Croatian Painters Association ( HDLU ), Split. He held numerous exhibitions in Croatia, Slovenia, Italy and USA and developed successful co-operation with Kolibri Art Gallery, Rolling Hills Estates, LA (USA) and Pacific Marine Gallery, WA (USA). .............................. ......................................................
